Was that something you learned in school? Or, Were you expected just to know how to do this? I was lucky enough to be taught how to write outlines from lectures in middle school. However, I saw friends and classmates <strong>struggle<\/strong> with these skills in high school and college. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-pinterest wp-block-embed-pinterest\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Greg Landry&#039;s Homeschool Science Empowers Students to Reach Their Goals in Higher Education\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.pinterest.com\/ext\/embed.html?id=625296729535737098&#038;src=oembed\" height=\"899\" width=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" ><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The self-paced Student Success Skills teaches students <strong>how to learn <\/strong>and take the information taught and commit it to memory. This class teaches <a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegeprepscience.com\/podcast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Professor Landry&#8217;s<\/a> NSSR method of notetaking. This method teaches students how to figure out the critical information a teacher tries to convey during a lecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegeprepscience.com\/homeschool-science-freebies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Student Success Skills<\/a> class fills in any gaps in basic academic knowledge. This includes things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Metric System<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Graphing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temperature Measurements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scientific Method<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I want my children to feel confident in these skills when they enter college or whatever form of higher education they choose. The day you&#8217;ve been anticipating is here. Walking into a stuffy classroom filled with other anxious students, doubts swirl in your head, questioning whether you&#8217;re ready. That&#8217;s right; it&#8217;s the day of the ACT. Sound familiar? Most colleges and universities require students to take the ACT, or similar test, to apply. Thank goodness things can be different <a href=\"https:\/\/intentionallywell.org\/were-a-homeschool-family-now\/\">for our kids<\/a> with Greg Landry&#8217;s online Homeschool Science <a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegeprepscience.com\/classes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">ACT Prep Bootcamp<\/a>. Studies show that students who take time to prepare well for the ACT do <strong>significantly<\/strong> better than those who don&#8217;t. Through homework, students identify areas of weakness and skills to improve. This course is only four sessions, which I loved.
